Lord Lovat's Farm has recently gone from raising Babydoll Southdowns to raising hair sheep. We switched
for some of the same reasons so many others have switched from the wool breeds to the new "hair sheep."
- no need to shear
- parasite resistant
- hardy in hot and cold climates
- excellent mothering ability
- off season breeding
- twins and triplets are the norm
- docile easy going temperments
- quality lean meat with a mild flavor
We love our new sheep and know you will too. We have Katahdins, and Katahdin crosses. Crosses are mixed with
St. Croix, Barbado, Dorper, and a little Suffolk. We have some sheep for sale. Contact me if interested.
